Danielle Blanchard

Danielle is an experienced construction and employment litigation lawyer. She has authored peer-reviewed publications on construction law and legal education in Canada, with work appearing in the Journal of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and the Canadian Legal Education Annual Review.

Her employment law work includes advising on and completing workplace investigations, suspensions and terminations, severance entitlements, constructive dismissal, drafting and enforcing employment or contractor agreements, contract amendments, and compensation modifications. She counsels on compliance with employment legislation and has appeared in Supreme Court and various administrative tribunals.

She is also an experienced construction lawyer with extensive local industry knowledge. Her construction law work includes drafting and advising on Canadian Construction Document Committee (CCDC) contracts and Canadian Construction Association (CCA) contracts, standard form contracts, tendering processes, builders’ liens, deficiencies and holdbacks, payment certifications, certificates of pending litigation, and enforcing judgments. She has experience with archaeological assessments, and delay claims.

Danielle grew up in Victoria and attended the Thompson Rivers Law program. She enjoys reading (mostly sci-fi), concerts (anything upbeat), and biking (mostly on the goose).
